August Kammer was an American ice hockey and golf player, born in Brooklyn on June 3, 1912. He competed during the 1930s and 1940s and studied at Princeton University. Kammer participated in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where he won a bronze medal in ice hockey. In addition to his hockey career, he excelled as an amateur golfer, claiming victory in the 1947 Walker Cup.
