August Wilhelm Miete (November 1, 1908 - August 9, 1987) was an SS officer in Nazi Germany. He worked at the euthanasia centers Grafeneck and Hadamar, and then at the Treblinka extermination camp. Arrested in 1960, he was tried in West Germany for his involvement in the mass murder of at least 300,000 people; he was convicted in 1965 and sentenced to life imprisonment.
