August Neo was an Estonian wrestler born on February 12, 1908, in Padise Rural Municipality. Competing in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling during the 1930s, he participated in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, winning a silver medal in freestyle and a bronze in Greco-Roman in the light heavyweight category. He also claimed 12 national titles and five European medals between 1934 and 1939. After World War II, he moved to Sweden and worked as a truck driver. Neo passed away on August 19, 1982, in Denmark.
