Auguste Joseph Ricord, also known as Il Commandante, was a French-Corsican heroin trafficker and convicted Nazi collaborator. He was a founding member of the French Connection, a notorious drug trafficking organization in the 1950s and 1960s. Ricord fled France after the war to evade justice but was arrested in 1972 in Paraguay. After being extradited to the U.S., he served 10 years for drug trafficking. Ricord returned to Paraguay in 1983 and died in 1985.
