Augustinus Cantinjeau, born Frans Cantinjaeu, was a Belgian cleric, born on June 18, 1909, in Zemst-Bos. He was elected the 54th abbot of the abbey in 1942 but resigned in 1946 due to health issues. Later, he became rector in Antwerp and taught high school students. He celebrated his golden jubilee in 1985 and suffered a stroke ten years before his death, enduring a painful decline until his passing on December 17, 1990.
