Augusto Vizcarra Chocano was a Peruvian civil engineer and politician. Born on May 6, 1933, in Moquegua, he pursued education in civil engineering. He initially served as the mayor of Mariscal Nieto from the Alianza Acción Popular - Democracia Cristiana in 1963. He was later elected as a deputy for Moquegua from 1980 to 1985. Vizcarra also ran for provincial mayor and regional president multiple times, with his last attempt in 2010. He passed away on May 28, 2021, at the age of 88.
