Aurora Dumitrescu was a Romanian history teacher known for her opposition to the communist regime as a political prisoner. Arrested in December 1951 by the Securitate for her collaboration with the anti-communist resistance, she endured torture in communist prisons. Released in July 1953, she was subjected to forced residence in her hometown of Beiuș. After 1990, she joined the Association of Former Political Prisoners and worked to raise awareness of the abuses committed during the communist regime.
