Aurora Serratos Garibay was a Mexican pianist and music educator born on December 21, 1927, in Guadalajara. She was the daughter of pianist Ramón Serratos and music educator Aurora Garibay. She studied under her father and at the National Conservatory and the Curtis Institute of Music. From 1955, she performed in a piano duo with Guillermo Salvador, touring North and South America. They married after three years of performances. In the 1970s, she began teaching at the National Conservatory and served as its director from 1991 to 1994.
