Avgust Černetič was a Slovenian priest and partisan religious advisor, born on June 11, 1918, in Prosenicco, Slovenia. After studying theology in Udine in 1942, he served in Cravero, Slovenia. He joined the partisans in October 1943 and became a religious advisor in the 2nd Soča Brigade and later in the 30th Division. After the war, he graduated from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ljubljana, and later became a professor and administrative secretary at the Faculty of Economics until his retirement in 1973. He passed away in Ljubljana in 1990.
