Aviva Chomsky, born on April 20, 1957, is an American teacher, historian, writer, and activist. She serves as a professor of history and coordinator of Latin American and Latino/a Studies at Salem State University in Massachusetts. Previously, she taught at Bates College in Maine and was a research associate at Harvard University, specializing in Caribbean history and Latin American history. She is the eldest daughter of Noam and Carol Chomsky.
