Avner (Neri) Yarkoni, born on December 18, 1957, is a retired Israeli Air Force officer with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He served as a fighter pilot from 1977 to 2013 and has been a practicing attorney since 1991. From 1995 to 1998, he was the Central Command attorney and served as the head of the Civil Aviation Authority from 1998 to 2001.
