Awad al-Baraasi, born in 1966, is a Libyan electrical engineer and politician. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Libyan government under Ali Zidan. Prior to that, he was appointed as the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energies in the transitional government by Abdurrahim El-Keib, following the 2011 Libyan revolution. His roles reflect his involvement in important energy initiatives within Libya's governmental framework.
