Murakami gained prominence as a member of NMB48's Team M and was part of the Yoshimoto Girls Unit 'Tsubomi.' After graduating from NMB48 in March 2015, she worked as a news presenter at NHK Otsu, from March 2016 to March 2019. In April 2019, she transitioned to a freelance announcer, regularly appearing in news and information programs across Kansai broadcasting stations.
