Aydın Çobanoğlu was a prominent Azerbaijani ashik born in 1951 in the Tovuz region. His father, Ashik Coban, was his first teacher. Aydın gained recognition for his performances while studying philology at ADU and won several awards throughout his career, including multiple festival laureateships. He tragically lost his life in 1993. He was well-regarded in folklore and music circles and actively participated in numerous festivals both in Azerbaijan and abroad.
