Aylton Adalberto Mortati (1946-1971) was a Brazilian militant and guerrilla, known for his involvement in the armed struggle against the military dictatorship in Brazil. He studied law at the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and was expelled from the Brazilian Army due to his revolutionary activities. Mortati was reputedly associated with various aliases, including Tenente and Romualdo. Notably, he was allegedly the mastermind behind the 1969 hijacking of a VARIG Boeing 707, diverting it to Cuba. His case remains under investigation by the Comissão da Verdade for his disappearance and death under suspicious circumstances.
