He serves as the Secretary General of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe and represents Egyptians abroad in the drafting committee of the Egyptian Constitution. Additionally, he was an advisor to President Mohamed Morsi on issues concerning Egyptians living outside the country. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Cairo University, which he obtained in 1991, but he primarily focused on public work rather than practicing medicine after his early years in the field.
