Aynur Safiyeva is an Azerbaijani scientist, general surgeon, and doctor of medical sciences born on March 31, 1974. She is noted for being the first female doctor of sciences in colorectal surgery. From 2016 to 2021, she served as the first national representative of the European Society of Coloproctology in Azerbaijan, and since 2021 has been the Regional Representative for Eastern Europe. She is also the scientific secretary of the Coordinating Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and the scientific secretary of the Azerbaijan Society of Colon Rectal Surgery.
