Ayodhya Prasad Sharma was an Indo-Fijian farmers' leader and politician, born on April 30, 1909. He founded the most successful farmers' union in Fiji, persuading the Colonial Sugar Refining Company to concede after decades of dominance. Despite initial successes, rival unions formed by other Indo-Fijian leaders limited his ongoing influence. Sharma also participated in the Legislative Council from 1953 to 1959, contributing to the political landscape of Fiji during that period. He passed away on February 28, 1972.
