Azhari Mohamed Ali (born November 19, 1954) is a contemporary Sudanese poet, media personality, and cultural activist. He was born in the village of Al-Makaniya in the Nile River State and lost his parents at a young age. He began working in a textile factory and has collaborated with renowned artist Mustafa Said Ahmed. Azhari was the first Arab poet to participate in the Al-Murbad Poetry Festival in Iraq, and has composed numerous songs that have been performed by various artists.
