Babi Floyd (born Bobby Floyd on December 16, 1953 – June 11, 2013) was an American singer and session musician. He grew up in the Chicago area and earned a Bachelor in English from Carleton College in 1976 before moving to New York. Throughout his career, he worked as a background vocalist and contributed to notable recordings, including projects with Patti Austin, Billy Joel, and Nina Simone. Floyd was involved in 13 recording sessions in the jazz and fusion genres between 1977 and 1984, and released a single in 1982 under his own name.
