His notable contributions to the art world earned him the title of Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR in 1961. He was also known as the father of the ceramist Armen Kolozyan. Kolozyan passed away on August 30, 1994, in Yerevan, Armenia, leaving a legacy in Armenian art and education.
