Baghdad Amreyev (born 1959 in Sholok Korgan, Kazakhstan) is a prominent Kazakh diplomat who graduated from the University of Tajik State with a degree in Eastern studies. He speaks multiple languages including Kazakh, Russian, Arabic, English, Turkish, and Persian. Amreyev has held various significant diplomatic positions, notably as the Secretary General of the Turkic Council since September 3, 2018, and previously served as an ambassador to several countries including Iran, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, as well as being a non-resident ambassador in Albania.
