Baha Araji is a former Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and politician affiliated with the Sadrist movement, born in 1967 in Kadhimiyah, Baghdad. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in law and has served as the head of the Ahrar parliamentary bloc and the National Partnership Gathering. Araji has been an active member of various legal associations and committees in Iraq, including the constitutional drafting committee. He was appointed by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi as Deputy Prime Minister but resigned following a series of governmental reforms in response to public protests.
