Maharaja Bahadur Singh I of Bundi was the 28th and last official ruler of the princely state of Bundi from the Hada Chauhan Rajput clan. Born on March 17, 1920, he was adopted by Sir Ishwari Singh in 1933. Educated at Mayo College, he served in the Indian Army during WWII, awarded the Military Cross. He ascended to the throne in 1945 and acceded Bundi to India in 1949. His titles were abolished in 1971, but he remained the titular ruler until his death on December 24, 1977, survived by one son and one daughter.
