Barbara Forrest is a philosophy professor at Southeastern Louisiana University. She is a prominent critic of intelligent design and the Discovery Institute. She graduated from Hammond High School and obtained her bachelor's degree in English in 1974 from Southeastern Louisiana University, a master's in philosophy in 1978 from Louisiana State University, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Tulane University in 1988. She has been teaching philosophy at Southeastern Louisiana University since 1988 and is currently a professor in the Department of History and Political Science.
