She authored over 50 books, with her most famous series featuring Moses, a mischievous student at a boys' school. Kimenye was a prolific writer and is regarded as Uganda's leading children's literature author, with her stories widely read and extensively used in African schools. Although born in England, she identified herself as Ugandan.
