Barbara Nath-Wiser is an Austrian-Indian physician born on February 28, 1949, in Linz. After completing her medical studies in Vienna, she emigrated to India in 1978 to pursue yoga training and married her teacher, Krishan Nath Baba. In 1984, she founded the Nishtha Center for Health, Education, and Environment in Himachal Pradesh, which offers both conventional and alternative treatments. After her husband's death in 1986, she continued her work in India. She has received several awards, including the Two Wings Award and recognition for her significant social work.
