Barbara York Main (January 27, 1929 – May 14, 2019) was an Australian arachnologist and an Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia. She authored four books and over 90 research papers, and is renowned for her extensive work on spider classification, during which she personally described 34 new species and seven new genera. In 1981, both BBC and ABC produced a film about her work titled 'Lady of the Spiders'.
