Barendra Krushna Dhal (1939–2016) was an influential Indian Odia journalist and litterateur from Odisha. He contributed to various newspapers including Swaraj and Aj Kal. He played a significant role in the Lekhaka Samukhya literary movement, serving as chief secretary in Odisha between 1982 and 1988. Dhal was also the chairman of the National Union of Journalists from 1990 to 1993 and founded the Bhubaneswar Book Fair, which is held annually. He passed away at the age of 77 after a prolonged illness.
