Barrie Russell Jones (January 4, 1921 – August 19, 2009) was a British-New Zealand ophthalmologist and eye surgeon recognized as a pioneer in preventive ophthalmology. He was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1984 and received the King Faisal International Prize in Medicine in 1987 for his contributions to the field. His significant work has made a lasting impact on eye health.
