Bashar AlSayegh born on January 29, 1977, is a Kuwaiti journalist and politician. He is notable for being the first Kuwaiti blogger to be arrested by the Kuwaiti State Security for comments made on his website that were considered an insult to the Emir. He served as the Secretary-General of the National Democratic Alliance, which is a liberal political movement in Kuwait.
