Basil Chivers was an English cricketer born on December 31, 1939, in Devizes. He played for Wiltshire and began his career in the Minor Counties Championship at age 17. Chivers made several appearances for Kent's Second XI from 1959 to 1962, with his sole List A appearance in the 1964 Gillette Cup against Hampshire, where he scored a duck. He married Heather Collison, and they had two children: Rebecca and Matthew. Chivers passed away on January 21, 2023.
