Bastiaan Gruppen, born on April 15, 1987, in Meppel, is a Dutch cyclist specializing in time trials. He lost part of his left forearm and initially engaged in regular cycling. After facing challenges due to his disability, he ceased cycling in 2009 but later returned to competitive cycling in the adapted category upon encouragement from his family. Competing in class C5 with a modified handlebar, he qualified for the time trial event at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London during the World Cup in Segovia, Spain.
