Bazlur Mohamed Rahman, born on October 17, 1959, is a Bangladeshi swimmer. He is the son of Azahar Uddin Howlader, who served in the Pakistan military, and Shamsunnahar, a homemaker. He completed his SSC from Sangor High School, HSC from Rajapur Degree College, and attained a BA from Jagannath University. He joined the Bangladesh Navy as a Lieutenant Commander and was also the secretary of the Air Force Sports Council. He made history by winning Bangladesh's first gold in swimming at the 1987 Games in India.
