Bedangadas Mohanty is an Indian physicist known for his work in experimental high energy physics. He was awarded the Infosys Prize in Physical Sciences in 2021 and the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 2015, which is the highest science award in India. Mohanty has been elected as a fellow of the Indian National Science Academy, the Indian Academy of Sciences, and the National Academy of Sciences, India. In 2020, he became a fellow of the American Physical Society.
