Bengt Eric Schöier (1923-2012) was a prominent Swedish newspaper editor and journalist. After earning a philosophy degree from Gothenburg University in 1948, he worked at various notable publications, including Göteborgs Handels- och Sjöfartstidning, Expressen, and Västerbottens-Kuriren. He held significant editorial positions from 1956 to 1989. Besides journalism, Schöier was also active in local government in Ekerö from 1968 to 1974. He is remembered for his contributions to Swedish media and is buried at Lidingö Churchyard.
