Benjamín Chávez Camacho is a Bolivian poet and writer born on February 17, 1971, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. He began writing in Oruro and has lived in La Paz since 1999. Chávez studied philosophy and cultural management. He has received several prestigious awards, including the National Poetry Prize and the Elizabeth Neuffer prize from the UN. He is a founding member of the National Union of Poets and Writers in Bolivia and directs the International Poetry Festival of Bolivia. His works have been translated into multiple languages and appear in various anthologies.
