Bent Faurschou Hviid (January 7, 1921 – October 18, 1944), known as 'Flamme', was a Danish resistance fighter during the German occupation of Denmark. He gained notoriety for his involvement in the elimination of informers. After being discovered by German forces in Skovshoved, he tragically committed suicide to avoid capture. Posthumously, he received the American Medal of Freedom in 1951 alongside Jørgen Haagen Schmith for their bravery against the enemy. His life and actions have been memorialized, including a portrayal in the 2008 film 'Flammen & Citronen'.
