Bernt Iver Ferdinand Brovold (born May 25, 1954, in Trondheim) is a Norwegian officer and lieutenant general in the Army. He led the Military Mission in Brussels from 2011 until his retirement in 2014, and previously served as the chief of the Armed Forces Operations Headquarters from 2009 to 2011. Starting his military career in 1975, he advanced through various command positions, reaching the rank of general and serving as Inspector General of the Home Guard until 2009.
