Berry de Mey is a former professional Dutch bodybuilder, known as 'The Flexing Dutchman'. Born in Rotterdam on February 23, 1962, he gained prominence in the 1980s by competing successfully in numerous national and international bodybuilding contests. He became the world champion in 1985 at the World Games in London. In 1988, he won bronze at the Mr. Olympia event in Los Angeles. His remarkable victory at the IFBB Mr. Europa in 1982 at just 20 years old remains iconic alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger's similar achievement. De Mey was inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame in 2008.
