Berthold Simons, originally named Joseph Simons, was a German Roman Catholic priest and Benedictine monk. Born on December 30, 1918, in Eschweiler-Dürwiß, he became the second resident abbot of the newly reestablished Kornelimünster Abbey near Aachen, serving in this role from 1967 until his death on December 17, 1980. His leadership contributed to the revival of the abbey's traditions and community life.
