Betsy L. Close is a Republican politician from Oregon who served in the Oregon State Senate from October 2012 until November 2014. She succeeded Frank Morse, who retired, and prior to her senate term, served four terms as a state representative. Close also had a teaching career in Albany, Oregon, and Washington state. In 2013, she announced her candidacy for a full term but was defeated in the November 2014 election by Democrat Sara Gelser.
