Bhakti Sundar Govinda Deva Goswami was a prominent Vaishnava religious leader, guru, and theologian born on December 17, 1929, in Brahmanpara, West Bengal. A disciple of B.R. Sridhara Goswami, he led the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math from 1985 until his passing on March 26, 2010. He founded over 100 mathas worldwide and dedicated his life to preaching Gaudiya Vaishnavism, traveling extensively, including multiple visits to Russia. Initially named Dharma Das, he received the name Bhakti Sundar Govinda during his initiation into sannyasa.
