Bhaskar Roy Chowdhury was an Indian dancer, choreographer, and actor born on February 11, 1930, in Madras. He moved to New York in the 1950s, where he established his own dance troupe. As an actor, he appeared in films including David E. Durston's 'I Drink Your Blood' (1970). After an onstage accident left him wheelchair-bound in 1977, he shifted his focus to painting. He passed away in New York on August 4, 2003, at the age of 73.
