Bhupathiraju Somaraju, commonly known as B. Somaraju, is an esteemed Indian cardiologist born on July 26, 1946. He served as the chairman of CARE Hospitals in Hyderabad and has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. Somaraju is a fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences and received the Padma Shri award in 2001 from the Government of India. He has held prominent positions at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences as a Professor and Head of Cardiology. Notably, he invented the 'Kalam-Raju Stent' and 'Kalam-Raju Tablet' with A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
