Bibhas Roy Chowdhury, born on August 1, 1968, is a Bengali poet, novelist, and essayist. He has authored over twenty books, including five novels and numerous essays published in various Bengali literary magazines. He has received several awards, including the Bangla Academy Award (West Bengal Bangla Academy) in 2013, the Kritibas Award in 1997, and the Nirmal Acharya Gold Medal for poetry. Notable poems of his have been translated into English by renowned poet and translator Dr. Kirit Sen Gupta. He is also involved in the Bengali literary magazine 'Kabita Ashram' and founded a theater group.
