Binod Bihari Mahato (September 23, 1923 - December 18, 1991) was a lawyer and politician in India. He founded the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party in 1972 and was a prominent leader in the movement for a separate Jharkhand state. Mahato was also dedicated to the promotion of the Kurmali language and culture, as well as social movements in his region. He served as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly three times in 1980, 1985, and 1990, and was elected to the Lok Sabha from Giridih in 1991.
