Biraj Bhakta Shrestha is a prominent Nepalese politician currently serving as the Minister of Youth and Sports since March 6, 2024. He is a member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party and was elected to the House of Representatives from Kathmandu 8 during the 2022 general elections. Shrestha won by a margin of approximately five thousand votes over the runner-up. Before this, he was a member of the inaugural Bagmati Provincial Assembly representing the Bibeksheel Sajha party.
