Birger Sivertsen, born on May 26, 1953, is a Norwegian author residing in Trondheim. He has published 25 books, selling over 250,000 copies in Norway alone. His works have also been translated into Swedish, Danish, English, German, and French. In 2002, he initiated the campaign "Gi oss jula tilbake!" (Give Us Christmas Back!). In 2005, he co-wrote the lyrics for the music album 'Troll' with his wife for the Norwegian folk metal band Lumsk, and also wrote the lyrics for their single 'Nidvisa'.
