Björn Envall is a Swedish designer born on April 21, 1942. He started as an apprentice under Sixten Sason at Saab in the 1960s. After a brief stint at Opel, he took over as chief of Saab's design department following Sason's death in 1967, overseeing the design of models from Saab 99 to Saab 9000. Notably, he created the combi coupe version of Saab 99 and worked on the design of the second generation of Saab 900, introduced in 1993. He has also contributed to exhibitions about Sixten Sason.
